After creating the poster for the festival’s first edition, a large mosaic mural in Crest-Voland and a work inside the Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe Tourist Office, Saro returns for a third participation. In La Giettaz, he will create a new photoceramic mural, continuing his artistic dialogue with the region.

Behind the name Saro is Vincent Ackermann, a self-taught artist from Switzerland. His creative process draws on a daily collection of urban images: torn posters, stickers, graffiti and distinctive details captured in the streets of Europe, the United States and, particularly, Lausanne. These fragments of everyday life are complemented by carefully staged photo sessions. True to an authentic approach, he works exclusively with natural light and photographs his models in front of graffiti-covered walls.

From hundreds of initially scattered photographs, Saro patiently constructs large mosaics that become powerful, compelling portraits of women. His work pays tribute to women and to the richness of their many facets. He explores universal themes including the passage of time, the search for perfection, intergenerational relationships, the duality of outward appearance and inner life, and the contrasts between fragility and strength, difficulty and joy.

By capturing intimate, intense moments, the artist highlights the complexity of women’s experiences and questions social norms and stereotypes. His creations reveal women’s resilience, vulnerability and strength, offering a sincere, contemporary vision of feminine beauty.

Today, Saro exhibits in prestigious galleries, notably in Crans-Montana, Megève, Geneva and Zermatt, reflecting the growing recognition of his work on the international art scene.
